IPC-610 Certified

The IPC-A-610 is the most widely used industry consensus document that sets acceptance criteria for electronic assemblies. It is a pictorial guide to conditions and process results, common in the manufacturing of electronic assemblies. FSE has certified IPC-610 trainers on staff.

IPC-620 Certified

IPC-620 is the most widely used inspection specification for the cable and wire harness assembly industry. It is a pictorial guide to conditions and process results, common in the manufacturing of cables and wire harnesses. FSE has certified IPC-620 trainers on staff.

Cable Assemblies

Overmolded cables, plotting and encapsulation, environmentally protected cables, co-ax cables, E.M.I assemblies protected by either metal overbraid or tape, overbraided assemblies with multiple types of exterior protection from abrasion and flexible ribbon cables.

Wiring Harness Assembly

Our wiring harness product line includes:

  • Light duty wire harness, heavy duty wire harness, precision wire harness, 3D harnessing, harness assemblies, protected by either metal overbraid or tape, overbraided assemblies with multiple types of exterior protection from abrasion.
  • Wiring harnesses from 5 to 1000 plus conductors in any type of configuration.
  • EMI shielding of harnesses, and braided jacket where required.
  • Wiring harnesses with lengths exceeding 100 feet.

Industrial Cables & Assemblies

FSE is a cable manufacturer aware of the extreme demands of industrial applications. Flexible power and control cables are an integral part of industrial automation. FSE can provide power cables and control cables to meet the most demanding specifications. FSE manufacturers cables in standard and high-flex versions for use in networking industrial devices and controllers in automated factory environments.

  • High and continuous flex applications
  • Different types of flex: rolling, bending, torsional and variable/mixed
  • Adherence to UL and CSA standards
  • Space constraints
  • Mobility, modularity and portability
  • Resistance to environmental challenges like abrasion, flame, grease, oil, dirt, welding slag, paint, chemicals, and temperature extremes

Multimedias Cable & Assemblies

FSE is a cable manufacturer that understands multimedia cable applications and their requirements for high quality signal transmission as well as protection from outside interference. FSE addresses these issues by providing rugged and high-flex video, audio, communication and instrumentation cables to meet your specific needs. Our multimedia capabilities include:

  • Composite cable systems
  • Insulation against electrical interferences and noise emissions
  • Video coax frequency 1MHZ-3GHZ
  • Podding (combining multiple functions into a single cable)
  • Waterproof connector seals
  • Custom overmolds and colors designed for function and aesthetics
  • UL, CSA, RoHS compliance
  • Resistance to abrasion, temperature extremes, flames and other environmental challenges
  • Testing for impedance and attenuation
  • Low smoke emission

Medical Cables & Assemblies

Medical devices are no place for compromise. So when we build cables and cable assemblies for our medical device customers, we dig deep into our vast experience to make sure we deliver cables, cable assemblies, and coil cords that stand up to everything those devices might face. We pay particular attention to considerations that are vital to medical equipment, such as:

  • Moisture proofing
  • Flexibility
  • Protection against airborne particulates, moisture, chemicals and gases
  • Appropriate use of silicone and other medical-grade materials (PVC, polyurethanes, polypropylenes, etc.)
  • Traceability
  • Indoor and outdoor operations
  • Resistance to sterilization methods and chemicals
  • EMI suppression
  • Extremely low leakage current and redundant grounding paths
  • Radiographic transparency

Data Collection Cables & Assemblies

Data collection systems, barcode scanners and other handheld readers aren’t always treated with kindness. They’re constantly moved, stretched, extended and recoiled, not to mention being dropped, crushed, slammed, bumped and scraped. To make sure our data collection cables, coil cords and cable assemblies can handle this kind of punishment, we carefully consider every demand that might be place on them and then we fabricate accordingly.

  • Force to extend
  • Retraction length
  • Run time of device
  • Security of data
  • Abrasion, temperature extremes and other environmental challenges
  • Inclusion of in-line integral power jacks or printed circuit boards
  • Customizing overmolds and endcaps to match color and style of device
  • Fixed host station vs. non-fixed

Military/Public Cables & Assembly

The cables in defense/military and public safety applications simply cannot fail. That fact is at the center of everything we do when we fabricate custom cable solutions for those demanding applications. Our defense/military and public safety customers trust us to think of everything necessary to insure the integrity of their products, including:

  • Adherence to critical defense/military specifications and standards
  • Ruggedization class
  • Braiding, shielding and armoring
  • Mobility, modularity and portability
  • Secure communications and high-speed data transmission
  • Improved clarity and signal strength
  • Adoption of technological advances
  • Resistance to explosive shock
  • Resistance to environmental challenges like abrasion, flame, grease, oil, dirt, dust, moisture and temperature extremes
  • Submersion of watertight interfaces
  • Passive latching
  • Demanding requirements for flexibility and retraction
  • Cord retraction and pull strength
  • High and continuous flex applications

Datacom & Telecom Cables and Assemblies

We understand the importance of great communications. We know the vital role datacom and telecom devices play in so many day-to-day activities, from phone conversations and faxes to stock exchange transactions and medical image transmission. That’s why the cables we design for them are engineered with special attention to every aspect of their design, manufacture, use and performance, such as:

  • Tight impedance and time delay skews
  • Miniaturization
  • UL, CSA, and CE requirements chemical and abrasion resistance heat and flame resistance
  • Insulation against electrical interference and noise emissions
  • Low-smoke emission
